But somewhere between setting up my first SIP, skimming through fund fact sheets, and wondering if I was doing enough, I realised that finance isn't just a subject; it's a life skill. Let me take you back to where it all started for me. Where it all began My first proper introduction to the stock market was in Class 12. We had a subject called Secretarial Practice (SP) —and I LOVED it. Not in the “okay this is easy” kinda way, but in the “wait, I actually enjoy this” way. I remember studying corporate finance, issuance of shares, debt, correspondence to members, bondholders, about stock exchanges, etc. with more excitement than anything else. It just made sense.
